How to Get Mayo Out of Clothes

Does mayo stain? You bet it does. It's filled with oil. Learn how to remove a mayonnaise stain from a shirt, clothes, and other fabrics and surfaces.

Scrape
Hold the mayo: Scrape away excess mayonnaise, but don’t rinse the stain.
Two
Pre-Treat
Pre-treat with liquid laundry detergent or dish soap.

Wash
Wash on the hottest recommended setting with detergent and ⅓ cup Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach for bleach-safe whites or Clorox 2® For Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive for colors or white items with spandex.
Four
Dry
Before drying, make sure that the stain is gone. Repeat wash if necessary.
Tip

Pretreat with clorox 2® for colors stain remover and laundry additive. rub in gently 5–10 mins. do not allow to dry on fabric.

Remove
Remove excess mayonnaise.

Wipe
Wipe surface clean with Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes. For stuck-on stains try Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes with Micro-Scrubbers.
Three
Rinse
Rinse surface. Mayo days be stain free.
