How to Get Lipstick Stains Out of Clothes

Lipstick stains are oil-based, brightly colored, and impossible to hide. Follow these lipstick stain removal tips to learn how to get lipstick out of clothes.

Dab
Place a clean dry cloth on the stain. With a damp cloth, dab (don’t rub) the back of the stain with dish soap.

Wash
Wash on the hottest recommended setting with your favorite detergent. Add ½ cup Clorox® Regular Bleach2 with CLOROMAX® for whites or Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster for colors.

Check
Repeat as needed, and make sure to check that stain is gone before drying. XOXO bye-bye stain!

Do To prevent setting, try spritzing the stain with hairspray. Blot excess spray, take care not to spread.
