What you need

Steps to wash sports and athletic jerseys

  1. Pretreat any stains

Apply Clorox 2® for Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive directly to any stains and rub in. Wait 10 minutes before machine washing. Do not let it dry on the fabric.

    Tip

Use a timer to keep track of the pretreating time; don’t let the product dry out on the fabric.

  2. Machine wash

Transfer the jerseys to the clothes washer and wash them in the hottest water recommended on the care label using laundry detergent and a little more Clorox 2® for Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive.

  3. Air dry

Air dry the jerseys and check to see if any stains that were pretreated are all the way out. If needed, you can repeat the treatment.

When you have heavily stained jerseys, you can also presoak them all at once with Clorox 2® for Colors Stain Remover and Color Booster Powder.
