How to Get Salad Dressing Stains Out of Clothes

Laundry

One
Remove
Remove excess dressing.

Two
Pre-Treat
Pre-treat stain with liquid laundry detergent or dish soap.

Three
Wash
Wash on the hottest recommended setting with detergent. Add ½ cup Clorox® Regular Bleach2 with CLOROMAX® for whites or Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster to colors.

Dry
Before drying, check to make sure stain is gone. If not, give the salad stain another “toss” in the machine.

Tip

Some folks recommend sprinkling baby powder or a packet of artificial sweetener on stain to absorb excess oil.

Remove excess dressing.

Wipe
Wipe surface clean with Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes.

Rinse
Rinse with water.
