How to Get Berry Stains Out of Clothes

Follow these berry stain removal steps to learn how to get blueberry stains out of clothes and other berries like raspberry, mulberry, and blackberry stains.

Use as directed.

Laundry

  1. For colors or white items with spandex, pretreat with Clorox 2® For Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive by applying it directly to the fabric and waiting 10 minutes.

  2. For white bleach-safe items, presoak in a bleach and water solution made with ¼ cup Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach per gallon of water for 5 minutes.

  3. Launder as usual in warm water with your favorite detergent and the appropriate bleach.

  4. For whites, add ⅓ cup Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach to bleach-safe whites or Clorox 2® For Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive to colors or white items with spandex.

Tip

Prevent berry stains from setting in by flushing with cold water and sprinkling with salt. Be sure to rinse salt off.

Surfaces

  1. Remove excess juice and berry.

  2. To clean and disinfect: Spray Clorox® Clean-Up® Cleaner + Bleach 4–6 inches from surface until thoroughly wet.

  3. Wait 30 seconds then give the countertop a rinse or wipe clean.
