Question

I always presoak my whites in hot water with Clorox® UltimateCare® Bleach. Is there an optimal amount of time for this phase?

Answer

Generally, with presoaking, we recommend a limited exposure time prior to washing (1/4 cup Clorox® Regular-Bleach₂ with CLOROMAX® in a gallon of warm water for 5–10 minutes before laundering). Wash in the hottest water recommended on the care label with detergent and 3/4 cup Clorox® Regular-Bleach₂ with CLOROMAX®. The same approach is recommended for Clorox® UltimateCare® Bleach. But, Clorox® UltimateCare® Bleach is gentle enough to pour directly on stains, so this may be easier than your presoak approach if you have a few specific stains to treat.
