There are two indicators that the cleaning head needs to be replaced. First, as the cleaning agents are released into the water, the blue color on the sponge surface will fade, leaving little or no color on the sponge. Second, after several minutes of use there will be a significant reduction in foaming from the head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clorox toilet wand Love the product, the one drawback is that you never issue coupons for the cleaning heads for the wand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scrub pad falls off I have used this product for many years, however the last 2 times I purchased a d used them the scrub pad falls apart or completely off. Pulling it out the toilet is not my favorite thing to do. Don't think I will buy them again unless the company tells me they have remedied the problem

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pads fall apart The pads are not sturdy. Once you start using them to clean the toilet, they routinely fall apart. I’ve tried a couple of batches, each produces the same result.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cleaning pads are falling off even before use. This seemed like it would be a good product. Certainly had a name that use to mean quality. However, I am pretty disappointed. Right out of the package, the first pad is already hanging by a thread (literally) from that plastic backing disk which snaps into the handle. And that's before I even start to clean. This means when I am actually cleaning, I have to scrub very slowly and carefully, in an attempt to try keep the pad from falling completely off. I am unsure if its simply a bad design, or poor quality control in their manufacturing. I probably will not buy an refills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the product - not the cost I've been using these for about a year. I definitely like the fact that you get to click it and throw it away. I absolutely hate storing a regular toilet bowl scrubber anywhere so this is perfect for me. I've had no problems with them falling apart before I'm done scrubbing the bowl as I've seen other people comment about and I'm very satisfied with the job they do. I do however wish the refills were cheaper or you would have coupons for just this product every once in awhile. The cost of these are extremely high versus using a regular toilet brush and ajax so although I prefer this product I'll unhappily be returning to a regular toilet brush when my last batch of refills runs out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I’ve been buying these wands since they came out on the market & up until the past 6 months... they’ve WERE the best things ever!! But the last 3 boxes I’ve bought, have been AWFUL!! They come apart within SECONDS after you start cleaning. And it’s every single pad!! Every single box! I’m so disappointed bc this was such a great product. Idk why they’ve gone cheap & cut corners.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality is disintegrating I have used these for months probably close to a year. The latest box I got from Sam's club completely fall apart or are holding on by a thread. It has become very difficult to clean my toilet with it. I don't know if Clorox is rushing the product to get them back on the shelves but I think I'm going to go back to the conventional way of cleaning my toilet. This item is not cheap by any means and if they are going to lose quality then I'm out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Help!! Scrubber got lodged in toilet I have bought these for years, but today as I was cleaning the toilet it got caught in the hole and fell off. I couldn’t see or feel it. So left the toilet. Well my kid then flushed it. Now my toilet isn’t filling properly. Help! Do I need a plumber. Will this eventually dislodge?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elderly care This product is so simple my 86 year old father likes to clean his own toilet. And, I love that!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality dropped a lot! This wand used to be the best idea for toilet cleaning until it started being so cheaply made that after some mild scrubbing the spongy wand head falls right off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not the same quality of scrubbing pad I have been using the Clorox wand and kit for several years and have bragged to my family how awesome it is. No more storing a nasty toilet bowl brush. I noticed in the past last few packages of scrubbers that every one has not held up and falls apart soon after I emerged into toilet water to scrub. Not a happy camper and feel the the quality has diminished. Can you address this issue and make it right again?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It use to be great.....but then I bought 2 of these Clorox Tollet Wands over a year ago and they worked great. However, more recently about 2 months ago, the scrubbing brush doesn't do what it use to do. The brush doesn't stay on the wand, causing me to use more for 1 cleaning.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality I read a previous review about the quality of the Clorox toilet wand and I have to agree. In the past I could use the toilet wand to clean the toilet and push as hard as I wanted and move it around and it came out in one piece. Now I use the toilet wand and the pad falls apart before I’m done cleaning the toilet.I think Quality Control should check how these pads are made recently and if there’s been any changes in the design. I’ve used this product for years and never had this issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Refills fall apart as soon as they are submerged I bought a box of 36 refills. The first six came apart. They are not flushable so you have to get them out. Yuck!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loved this until they all started falling apart I was so impressed with the starter package, it was so great to not have to deal with the nasty toilet brush. I bought the Value size refill sponges 2 months ago, but they are all falling off of the attachment disk in less than a second after it gets wet. I can't clean the bottom of the bowl because I'm too worried the sponge will get stuck in the drain pipe. This makes the entire unit useless. I suspect there's a defect in that batch, and the consumers deserve a refund. I would have recommended this to a friend before, but until this issue is resolved, I will tell people to avoid it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality control While I'm a big fan of Clorox products I think their Toilet Wands need better quality control. Recently tried to use as intended. The first one had no "nipple" to attach to wand. Picked another one and half way through it fell off. Rather disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pads have come off twice The pads have come off twice luckily in different toilets. Tried to suction them out but couldn’t. So far the toilet isn’t plugged. Do I need to be worried? Why are these pads coming off? I like using these and have for years but if my toilet gets plugged I may have to stop using these. Please respond - do I need to be worried about my toilets getting plugged?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The new ones are not near as good as the old ones They fall apart and don't have near enough soap. The old ones where great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Change it back to original sponge style I have used this product for years, and LOVED it. The NEW refills are worthless, to put it bluntly. They began to fall apart as soon as it gets wet. You cannot scrub, all you’re doing is rubbing the end of a stick on the side of toilet bowl. PLEASE RETURN TO ORIGINAL STYLE.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I have been using this product for years. I used to absolutely love using it, however; the last few boxes that I have purchased have been absolutely terrible. The quality has definitely gone down hill and most recently, the pads have been falling off of the wand. I am so sad to see the quality change. I am hoping they can bring back the original ones.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What’s happened to these? I have used this product for years and have loved it. I’ve got 5 toilets to clean so I buy & use a lot of them. Lately they are made so thin & cheap that they’re falling apart in the bowl before I can finish cleaning it! If I have to stick my gloved hand in the bowl to pull out, I’m done with you!!! Go back to how it was made before! I’m not looking for a coupon, I want it properly made again

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed We have been using this product for at least 5years. In the last couple of months we feel like the quality of the product has decreased. We have had quite a few heads fall apart in a very short time. Had to use a second head to get the job done. Need better quality control.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used to be great Hundreds of reviews with the same issues. Clorox better fix this or you won't have wand customers. The scrubbers fall off easily unlike previous versions and compared to the previous version, the scrub material is much less dense.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falling apart I just bought 2 boxes of refills and they are not the same. As soon as I put in water they are falling apart. Really disappointed. Not sure if this is a faulty batch or you changed product. I never had this problem before.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fall apart The product has changed this year, the pad comes off the disk. Too bad as it was a great product. I will be looking for another solution.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Agree, wand scrubbers fall apart I’ve used these scrubbers for years. The last 2 boxes of cleaning heads did fall apart within a minute of initial useage. Sticking your hand in the toilet water to retrieve the scrubber pad that falls off is nasty. And this issue happens with every single pad. Whatever process changed, the quality is now poor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falls apart once wet I have used this product for 2 years and have always been happy with it as the thought of keeping something that's been in my toilet disgusts me. However, the last 2 times I purchased this product, they seem to be a different material that falls apart or completely falls off. I thought it was a one-off the first time. But this is the second package I've purchased with the same horrible result. I would no longer recommend this to anyone and feel guilty now about recommending it to other people.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible pads. Very disappointed. Very troubling having the scrub heads separately from the plastic base each time. This is now a 2nd box of the 36 refills snd same thing is happening. I thought the 1st was a fluke but now 2nd box of refills is doing the same. The Mrs is frustrated and I have to retrieve the loose head each time. We initially lived this cleaner when we first started using them years back. Now we are extremely dissapointed!! We would like to continue using this product if it works the way it's supposed to. Afraid that if we buy another box from big box store, we'll run into same issues. Help please!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backed up drains If you told me this holiday season I'd be hanging over my sump pump, elbow deep cleaning the crock after our drains backed up, I'd say you were crazy but that's exactly what happened! After fixing the problem I used a plethora of Clorox products! I poured the clorox lemon scent liquid bleach into the standing water and sprayed down the sides with the disinfecting spray and let it set for 20 minutes. Then I used the toilet bowl wands to clean the sides of the crock. I rinsed the crock with running water for 10 minutes and now everything is back to a smelling like the balsam candle that's burning, not like, ummm, poo. Thank heavens for Clorox!
