Steps to remove red wine from synthetic carpet

  1. Blot the stain

    Using a clean white towel, blot as much of the wine as possible to absorb the excess liquid.

  2. Apply Clorox 2™ for Colors to stain

    Using the cap, pour the solution directly onto the fabric or apply with a clean towel until the stain is covered. Let sit for 5–10 minutes. Test an inconspicuous area first.

  3. Blot (again)

    Blot the area with a clean, damp towel to remove product residue.

    Tip

    Do not use on fabrics that water-spot like suede, leather, or silk or on clothes while wearing. Keep kids and pets away from surface until dry.

If you have one, you can also use a steam cleaner to treat the stain (follow the directions on product). Be sure to only keep the cleaner on the carpet for whatever time the manufacturer recommends, and then vacuum the treated spot.

Small stains:

  1. For best results, apply directly to tough stains.
  2. Rub in and set 5-10 minutes. Do not allow product to dry on fabric.

Large stains:
