• Where should Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes be used?

  Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes can be used on hard, nonporous surfaces in every room of the house including:

  – Exterior appliance surfaces

  * Use as directed. Suitable for use on polyurethane finished wood surfaces. Test a small area first.

• Can I use CDW on wood surfaces?

  Yes. Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes are specially formulated to clean and disinfect a variety of surfaces, including finished wood. Use them on polyurethane treated wood surfaces around your home, such as wood tables, chairs, cabinets, and floors.

• Do Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes also work on shiny surfaces like mirrors?

  Yes, you can use them to clean and disinfect shiny surfaces like mirrors, glass, and metal fixtures. Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes combine a thick, textured wipe with Clorox’s unique clear-drying formula so you can clean in most places!

• What types of surfaces can I use Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes on to clean?

  Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes can be used on the following hard, nonporous surfaces:

  – Plastic laminate (for example, Formica^® countertops)

  – Polymer composite (for example, Corian^® countertops)

  – Synthetic laminate flooring (for example, Pergo^® Flooring)

  – Vinyl flooring (for example, Linoleum)

  – Wood laminates

  – Glazed tile

  – Enamel

  – Vinyl upholstery

  – Painted wallboard

  – Painted dry wall

  – Stainless steel and aluminum appliance exteriors

• Why are Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes better to use than paper towels, sponges and dish rags?

  Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes clean and disinfect at the same time. When you use a sponge, dishrag or even paper towel, you can spread bacteria from one surface to another. Instead of killing germs, you are pushing them around and potentially increasing the contaminated surface area.

• Can Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes be used outside of the home, too?

  Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes are also great for cleaning outside of the home, and our 9 wipe To Go Pack is an easy way to always have them nearby. Try them in the car or at work on desks, the computer mouse and keyboard, doorknobs, and telephones where germ levels may build up throughout the day. Carry them in your purse or pack them when you travel. They are great for hard nonporous surfaces in locker rooms, public restrooms†, changing stations†, restaurants†, airplanes and cars.

  †Always read and follow precautions and product usage directions before use. For surfaces that may come in contact with food, a potable water rinse is required. Not for cleaning or sanitizing skin. Do not use as diaper wipe or for personal cleansing.

• Do Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes contain bleach?

  No. Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes are made with a bleach-free formula that’s available in Fresh Scent, Lemon Fresh, Kitchen and Lavender scents so they leave a light, clean scent every time you wipe off a surface.

• How do you disinfect and sanitize with Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes?

  To Disinfect*

  Wipe surface to be disinfected; use enough wipes for treated surface to remain visibly wet for 4 minutes. Let surface dry. For highly soiled surfaces, clean excess dirt first.

  To Sanitize

  Use to sanitize/deodorize hard, nonporous surfaces. Wipe surface; use enough wipes for treated surface to remain visibly wet for 30 seconds. Let surface dry. For highly soiled surfaces, clean excess dirt first.

  For surfaces that may come in contact with food, a potable rinse is required. Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes will not harm most surfaces, including acrylic, fiberglass and vinyl. Not recommended for use on unpainted wood.

• Are Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes canister recyclable?

  Yes. Our regular Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes canisters are made from recyclable & #2 class of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene). Check with your local recycling company for a list of the materials it accepts for reprocessing.

• Can I use Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes on greasy, grimy kitchen messes?

  Yes. Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes are an effective cleaner for kitchen grease.

• Can I use Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes as a hand wipe or for personal use?

  No, Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes should not be used for personal cleansing. Please read and follow the product label instructions.

• Can Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes be flushed down the toilet?

  No. Dispose of wipes in the trash after use.

• Is it acceptable to use Clorox^® Disinfecting wipes on children’s toys and highchairs?

  Yes, provided the high chair tray that may come in contact with food and toys that may be mouthed by children are rinsed thoroughly with water after wiping.

• Do Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes kill cold and flu viruses?

  Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes kill 99.9% of germs including viruses that cause colds and flu.* Clorox^® Disinfecting Wipes are also effective against common bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (Staph.), Salmonella enterica, and E.coli.
