What Others Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a disinfectant! I purchased 10 bottles of Clorox bleach from Kroger and 4 from Walmart last week. I just so happened to be reading the ingredients on the back of one of the many bottles purchased only to see that this was not for sanitizing or disinfecting! This has made me very upset! I have two toddlers and just automatically assumed that this Clorox bleach was Clorox bleach! My go to solution for sanitizing and disinfecting. The labeling is very deceptive and “Not for Sanitizing and Disinfecting” should be placed on the Front of the bottle for consumers such as myself to see. I’m almost certain that everyone thought that this bleach was for disinfecting and sanitizing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Suds and not splashless Used Clorox splashless in kitchen sink, but had some splash up on my new shirt, which is now ruined. Kitchen sinks had 6" of suds above water level! Why all the suds? I'm not happy about any of it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not remove stains My husband bought the splash less bleach quite by accident. I was initially thrilled that Clorox had invented this product. However, I just washed my husband's white briefs and they did not come clean. Stains that always come out with Clorox regular bleach were not removed. I also had to rewash two of his white handkerchiefs. I will not purchase this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work's great, wish I could find it other scent's The bottle says it does not Disinfect, but if you read the ingredients it has Sodium Hypochlorite which Disinfects, it's bleach, what bleach doesn't disinfect? So the advertisement is questioning based on whatever law they have to comply by. Use your brain and do your own research. Sodium hypochlorite is an essential ingredient in bleach and a variety of cleaning products, serving different functions depending on the concentration level and product formulation. For example, in Clorox's EPA-registered disinfecting and sanitizing products, sodium hypochlorite is the active ingredient that helps to kill certain germs. In laundry and cleaning products it can help clean, remove stains and whiten. In Liquid Plumr® products, it helps break down tough clogs. My review: My Dog had an upset stomach, I washed all the dog towel's and blankets with this, just a little, not the recommended amount including some laundry detergent. Everything nasty came out. I love natural product's but sometimes you just need Splashless Clorox bleach when you feel beyond skeeved. Which i'm thankful for because when it involves pet feces, I wanna feel Hospital clean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why do you put bleach on the label? Why would you put bleach on the label? After purchasing splashless beach I read that it does not disinfect. It says on the front that it is bleach. Bleach is a chemical that kills microscopic organisms. If it does not contain bleach it should be taken off the label.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed My dog had horrible diarrhea all day, I washed all the towels & dog blankets! Once they were dry & put up my husband read the splashless Clorox does not disinfect! Really??? Now I have to start over!! Very small letters on the back! Big waste of my time & money!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed also My puppy has giardia. So I rushed to the store to get bleach as recommended by the cdc to clean the floors. I just happened to be reading the back for directions when I noticed in small print it says does not disinfect. I threw away the receipt so can’t exchange the product. I thought bleach was bleach. Maybe you could put not for disinfecting on the front in bigger letters.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Umm what is this... Why does my clorox splash-less have white clumps in it I just bought it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Splash-less Clorox is Not a Disinfectant I noticed how the Splash-less Clorox appeared different in consistency than regular Clorox. It made me wonder what chemicals were added to this new product so I looked for the ingredients. I was shocked when I read the tiny print on the label as the prior reviewer states which noted that Splash-less Clorox is Not a Disinfectant. The bottle appearance is almost identical to regular Clorox which everyone knows is a disinfectant. This is going to completely confuse their consumers into believing the Splash-less version is a disinfectant. I didn't even think how this will affect the cleanliness of the restaurant industry as the prior reviewer states. I've been using Clorox for over 40 years, and I'm very disappointed in this company and will be returning the two bottles I recently purchased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for disinfecting I wouldn’t have a problem with this if this information wasn’t in tiny writing on the back of the label. This is the only thing we buy this for, at the restaurant I work at. I wonder how many customers we have exposed to germs. I wonder how many people have gotten sick from this. Please make this information more apparent. I’m sure lots of people are using your product incorrectly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t Disinfect I have been purchasing the splashless bleach by clorox for quite a while. I suffer with OCD and I use bleach everyday; a gallon in 3 days; finding out that this bleach didn’t disinfect absolutely nearly did me in. I’ve had to purchase bleach from Great Britain because their thick bleach kills the germs and bacteria... I’m very disappointed... If their bleach can disinfect, why can’t ours? Clorox Team please work on this!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you buy bleach to disinfect. Don't buy Clorox! I picked up a bottle of bleach at Costco. I've always purchased my bleach there. And it was real Clorox (bleach) in the old days. Now it is some useless product that doesn't do anything except not splash. Used it to clean cutting boards and sponges after preparing a turkey to roast for Thanksgiving. Stuffed it and refrigerated it to roast in the morning. Then fixed dinner using same cutting board and sponges. Was too sick the next morning to cook. Days later when I went to use it again I noticed it didn't smell like bleach. Turns out the bleach I used to disinfect wasn't bleach at all. Even though it says it is the #1 BLEACH and that it is Regular Bleach on the front of the bottle. Turns out if you read the tiny lettering on the back (much smaller than the lettering claiming it is regular, #1 Bleach) that it DOESN'T DISINFECT. What does it do? Would have given zero stars but it wouldn't let me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love how it doesn’t spill I’ve been using this bleach for along time. I’m very happy with this. The regular bleach has splashed on my clothes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bottle cracked I purchased several bottles and two of the bottles had a small crack in the bottom causing it to leak and bleach my carpet. I’ve never had this happen before but I’m really upset because I’m a renter and this problem is going to cause me not to get my security deposit back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Correct the label It is very convenient for your laundry with excellent results, also for cleaning; but my husband just read on the label that this is not a disinfectant as the regular. A little disappointed :(.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Label Ever! Have mistakenly bought three times! Small print says NOT for disinfecting and sanitizing. The front of the packaging says “regular bleach” but the small print on the back says for sanitizing and disinfecting buy “regular bleach”. Totally confusing. Is this intended to mislead people?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the product I intended to buy I thought the Clorox I was buying, which also says “Clean Linen Bleach” below and to the right of the Clorox logo, would disinfect/sanitize my laundry. It was not until I was reading the amount to use on the back label that I ran across the statement that it is not for disinfecting/sanitizing. While I’m sure the product works fine for its intended use, I never thought I would need to read the back label or online reviews to understand the products limitations. A little tricky, but I guess now I know what to look for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless -- DOES NOT sanitize OR disinfect I bought this at the grocery store for disinfecting and sanitizing. Imagine my surprise to find it this "bleach" does neither. I thought that that was the purpose of bleach. Since I only use color safe bleach and I can't find my receipt, I am stuck with this product which cost twice the amount of chlorine bleach. I will not be purchasing Clorox products again. I would rate it zero if I could.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It leaves suds Got it free with purchase. I used it in my jetted tub and 10 minutes in cycle there were bubbles half way up the wall. Had to waste a ton of water to get them to go away. Then I put it in my dishwasher and bubbles were everywhere! I'm throwing the whole thing in the trash. I don't want to ruin something. Never will buy this. Thankfully it was free!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ugh, apparently splash-less isn't bleach i bought this to disinfect cloth diapers after doing an intense stripping process. i soaked them in this "bleach" and then washed them through 4 hot water cycles with detergent, only to find out via the very small print that this is the only bleach in the world that doesn't actually disinfect. back to soaking them in real bleach and another 4 wash cycles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid this "bleach" if you want disinfection I bought this bleach thinking it was just the standard clorox, but less likely to splash. It is NOT. There is tiny print on the label that tells you it can't be used for disinfecting, so small you'll miss it and buy it by accident. This product should not be called bleach if it isn't the same.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from White gooey clumps in bleach Have always used Clorox Bleach, purchased the splash-less for the first time. Will go back to the regular bleach. This splash-less has gooey clumps of white stuff in it. Will not use in my laundry, fear it will cause a problem. Will save this for toilet bowls and coffee cups so will not be wasted. Clorox, please continue manufacturing the good old trusted bleach.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clorox Splash-less vs Clorox regular I do not like to use this new Concentrated Clorox Splash-less, because it does NOT whiten your clothes or remove stains like the regular Clorox. A wholesale store removed the regular Clorox and replaced it with the Splash-less and I will not waste my money on it anymore. I like the smell and the gel to sterilize my kitchen, but that's about it. Please keep the original Clorox Bleach.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the Bleach I'm Used to I thought all Clorox Bleach was a Disinfectant. When I saw Splash-less, I just thought it wouldn't splash on you, but it was the old tried and true Clorox my mother and grandmother used. I was wrong. I spent $10.00 for two bottles, and it's thick like dish detergent and made bubbles. This is NOT what I wanted. Unfortunately, I did not read the entire bottle. You should have a different color bottle for the Splash- less one if you can't use it to disinfect and deodorize. They look too much alike.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Upset the Splash-less bleach does not disinfect I have been using Clorox products for YEARS. Clorox to me is synonymous with disinfecting and is THE Bleach of choice. ANYWHERE you look on the Internet, for disinfecting they say to mix bleach and water. I just recently purchased Clorox Splash-less bleach, thinking, "Let's give it a try. I do have some bleach stains on my "cleaning clothes" . Same packaging as the bleach I have always used. I related "splash-less" to spout design or thickening of the product, with no change in its chemical structure. I used it to disinfect an entire cottage (I guess that was a waste of time). I then used it to disinfect my jet tub. The bubbles were very hard to get rid of. At that point, I decided I may have a defective bottle. I looked on the back for a phone number r and at the very top in very small print it says "Not for sanitation or disinfection. To sanitize or disinfect use Clorox Regular Bleach". That in itself is confusing since the front label says #1 Bleach in America and next to the word "Splash-less" it says Regular (which now, I assume means the scent). There are 3 large font lines that say "No Splash Formula; 10X Deep Cleaning Benefits; Whitens, Brightens and Deodorizes. " and a large section that says "Cleaning and laundry tips" I'm not a package designer, but there seems to be plenty of room to add a large font "Does not sanitize or disinfect". There are many other comments here regarding this same issue. The packaging is confusing. It says on the front "10x Deep Cleaning Benefits", I think, "Wow, it's 10X stronger at disinfecting". I WILL continue to use the Clorox brand. I have used it for MANY years with great satisfaction. However I now have two 116 ounce bottles of this and will need to purchase additional bottles of Regular Clorox. Thank you. Looking forward to your response.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not disinfect, what's the point of clorox This was a product I grabbed quickly and stocked up on, and I'm disappointed that is does not disinfect, because to me this is the primary reason I buy clorox. Don't know what to to do with all these bottles now.
