Removing motor oil from whites and colors
Rub a liquid laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, or degreaser into the stain. Let it sit 3–5 minutes.
Wash separately with detergent in the hottest recommended water, adding a little Clorox® Regular Bleach2 with CLOROMAX® to whites.
Extend the wash cycle. With a top-loading washer, wait 6–8 minutes into the cycle, stop it, and spin the dial back for another 10–12 minutes.
At the finish line? Check for success at the end of the wash cycle before putting items into the dryer.
If stain isn’t removed, re-treat it or take to a commercial dry cleaner where solvents are used to dissolve stains.
Removing motor oil from surfaces
Wipe with a solution of ½ cup of Clorox® Regular-Bleach2 per gallon of water. Allow solution to contact surface for 5 minutes.
Rinse well and air dry. Now maybe you can wash that car.
