Removing butter from whites and colors

One
Scrape
Scrape off excess butter with a dull knife or spoon. If possible, dab with dish soap to keep stain from setting. Avoid eating butter off shirt.

Pre-Treat
Pre-treat with laundry detergent.

Three
Wash
Wash on the hottest recommended setting. Use ½ cup Clorox® Regular Bleach2 with CLOROMAX® for whites or Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster for colors.

Check
High dryer heat can cause oil to melt and sink deeper into the garment’s fibers, so check for success before machine drying.


Avoid
Avoid rinsing stains with water until you’re ready to wash.
