Pregunta

I spilled some salsa in some khaki shorts. I tried Oil Soap and that helped a bit, but did not completely treat the stain. How do I get the rest out?

Respuesta

The oil soap will help a little with stain removal, but you really need the appropriate bleach product to help go after the color. I’m guessing your khaki shorts are either tan or olive green in color, so you’ll want to use a color safe bleach.

For salsa stains on most colored fabrics, we recommend rinsing the stained area with a little cool water first before pretreating with a little Clorox 2® For Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive. Apply a little directly to the stain, gently rub it in, and wait 10 minutes before washing in the hottest water recommended on the garment care label using detergent and more Clorox 2® For Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive. Air dry the garment and then check for success—if any stain remains, repeat the treatment.

Since you have already tried to get the stain out of your shorts, start over with the Clorox 2® For Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive pretreating step. When using Clorox 2® to pretreat, use a timer so you don’t lose track of the time–don’t let it dry out on the fabric.
