A. Clorox® Disinfecting Kitchen Cleaner is specially formulated for many of the surfaces you'll commonly find in the kitchen. Clorox® Disinfecting Kitchen Cleaner can be used on the following hard, nonporous surfaces:

  • Enamel
  • Glazed ceramic or porcelain tile
  • Synthetic Marble
  • Plastic laminate (for example, Formica® surfaces)
  • Polymer composite (for example, Corian® surfaces)
  • Finished wood
  • Stainless steel appliance exteriors
  • Vinyl (for example, Linoleum)

Q. What are the benefits of disinfecting?

A. Regular cleaning products do a good job of removing soil, but Clorox® Disinfecting Kitchen Cleaner is a disinfectant that kills germs which may cause illness. Products that only clean don't necessarily kill germs. Surfaces like kitchen counters, stoves, tabletops and doorknobs may be contaminated with harmful germs even when they're not visibly soiled.

Q. What organisms does Clorox® Disinfecting Kitchen Cleaner kill?

A. Clorox® Disinfecting Kitchen Cleaner is effective against the following organisms:
Bacteria:

  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa
  • Salmonella choleraesuis
  • Staphylococcus aureus (Staph.)
Viruses:
  • Influenza A, (The most common and dangerous type of human flu virus)
  • Herpes simplex virus (Herpes)

Q. How long does it take to disinfect with Clorox® Disinfecting Kitchen Cleaner?

A. To disinfect hard, nonporous surfaces, spray the area until thoroughly wet, then let stand for 10 minutes. Wipe. For heavily soiled areas, a pre-cleaning is required.
