Q. Is it necessary to shake the tool before use?

A. Yes, it is very important to shake the Clorox® Bleach Pen® Gel before use. The product can separate and develop a layer of clear liquid on top of the white gel. This liquid will come out of the bottle more quickly than the gel and could put bleach where it is not wanted.

Q. Does the product work on discolored silicone or latex caulking?

A. The Clorox® Bleach Pen® Gel will remove stains that are on the exterior of the silicone or latex. However, it will not be able to work on stains that have a tendency to grow beneath the surface.

A. The scent is similar to bleach but not as strong.

Q. Why are there 2 different tips for product application?

A. The small pointed tip enables more precise control for treating special, small, hard-to-reach areas. The larger scrubber tip can be used on everyday stains that require scrubbing. Stain removal will be the same with either tip.

Q. What will happen if the product dries on fabric?

A. We would not expect damage to the fabric, but a white residue may remain. The residue should be rinsed or scraped off and the garment laundered.

Q. Could the bleach used to treat a stain on clothing transfer to other items in the wash-load and cause fading?

A. It is recommended that treated garments be washed with all white or mostly white wash-loads. The treated garments could also be rinsed with water prior to adding them to a load.

Q. Is it safe to apply bleach gel to clothing while it is being worn?

A. No. Avoid application to garments while they are being worn as there is a potential for skin irritation.
