Regular cleaning products do a good job of removing soil, but Clorox® Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner is a disinfectant, which kills germs that can cause illness. Products that only clean are not necessarily EPA-approved to kill germs. Surfaces like bathroom sinks, toilet seats, light switches and doorknobs may be contaminated with harmful germs even when they’re not visibly soiled.
To disinfect hard, nonporous surfaces, follow the cleaning instructions (remove excess dirt first in heavily soiled areas). Re-spray the area until thoroughly wet, then let stand for 10 minutes. Wipe.
Soap scum is more than just built-up soap residue; it’s created when water combines with soap, body oils, hair conditioners, exfoliants, shampoos, and dirt to make that film that clings stubbornly to your shower, tub and sink surfaces.
There are quite a few different kinds of soap scum, ranging from filmy buildup to ring around the tub. Soap scum takes on a variety of different looks: a slimy gray/brown ring around the tub; white chalky film on tiles and shower doors; and various other grimy soils in your shower, tub and sink.
Clorox® Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner is non-abrasive, so unlike harsh cleansers it can be used on most bathroom surfaces including glass shower doors, glazed ceramic tile, plastic, chrome, fiberglass, glazed porcelain and synthetic marble. Do not use Clorox® Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner on natural marble, brass, or varnished wood. Use Clorox® Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner as directed. Use on any other surfaces is not recommended.
