For platinum-selling quartet Little Big Town, country music is all about family. That spirit is what has kept the foursome — Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook — making sweet harmony together for over 12 years. “Country music really speaks to people’s hearts, and to the hearts of families,” says Westbrook. “You just get this feeling of life, love and family.”
Little Big Town bring that same approach to their support of Blood:Water Mission, a nonprofit organization created by the band Jars of Clay. Since 2004, Blood:Water Mission has brought safe water to nearly 900 communities throughout Africa, and has built and funded three medical clinics to treat those suffering from HIV/AIDS.
“Every dollar counts in building clean water projects and caring for the sick,” says Fairchild. “It’s great to know Blood:Water is working with people inside these communities and real changes are being made.”
