Multi-platinum recording artist Sara Evans is one of the brightest stars of country music. She has released her single, “Feels Just Like a Love Song,” and completed her first book, “The Sweet By and By,” which was released in early 2010. Evans is currently in the studio to complete her forthcoming album.
Growing up in a farming town in Missouri, Evans saw for herself the terrible damage Mother Nature could inflict and just how important the Red Cross is to victims of floods and tornadoes. That's why she serves on the American Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet. ”I've seen firsthand the lifesaving work the American Red Cross does in communities nationwide. As a mother, I know how important it is to take steps to protect my family.“

Life is full of the unexpected. But one thing is certain: Being prepared can help you and your family respond to whatever comes your way. The Red Cross recom-mends that families take three steps to prepare for emergencies: (1) get a kit,
(2) make a plan, and (3) be informed. To learn more, visit RedCross.org.
