We know you keep your classroom clean and care about your students’ health.
Here’s a helpful list of items you can stock in your classroom—or ask parents to donate—to help ensure a clean and healthier classroom, especially during cold and flu season when germs thrive and are on the rise.
*Check school policy to confirm the use and donation of products is acceptable. Adults must deliver any donations themselves; do not accept products from students. Store and keep products out of the reach of students. Adults should supervise use of hand sanitizing products.
The curriculum on Clorox Classrooms was designed not only to be a fun and interactive way to teach students how germs spread, but also to meet important national education standards teachers need incorporate into their lessons. Download this chart to see how each of our lessons and activities meet various health and science standards.
Even if your classroom starts out clean, germs can build up all day. These quick and easy clean routines are designed to fit your busy schedule—and to target germ “hot spots” to keep your classroom healthy.
Be sure to use a product that’s EPA-registered to kill 99.9% of germs. Use cleaning products as directed and always keep them out of the reach of children.

Disinfect frequently touched surfaces regularly.
Stock up on or ask parents to donate Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes, and use them to disinfect hard, non-porous surfaces around the classroom. To help reduce the spread of bacteria and other germs, disinfect the surfaces kids touch most frequently — such as desks, doorknobs, and light switches.
Wash hands the right way.
Teach students to wash their hands the right way frequently, throughout the day, before and after they eat with warm, soapy water, for at least 20 seconds (about the time it takes to sing the "Happy Birthday" song twice).
Make sure students are doing the elbow cough.
Encourage kids to cough into their elbows, not their hands – where they’re more likely to spread viruses through touch.
Partnering with parents.
Share germ-fighting tips with parents, or invite them to donate cleaning supplies* and volunteer their time to help clean up the classroom. Parents are happy to help! Together, you can make a cleaner, healthier classroom for their kids.
*Ask school before donating. Adult delivery.
We designed this site to help you teach kids healthy habits, so they can reduce their exposure to germs. To help get kids excited and engaged, these important lessons and activities make joining The Clean Club a goal.
Once the lessons are complete, students can earn the title of official "Germbuster" and become a certified member of The Clean Club.

Celebrate and recognize the germbusting, hygiene-promoting habits students are mastering at school by downloading and printing a Germbuster Badge for students. It will help make your students feel special and add to the fun of learning about how to stay clean and healthy.
Give this Germbuster Badge to your students when they’ve completed a lesson and can officially join The Clean Club, a fun way to reward good behavior.

Your students will love playing a "clean scene investigator" learning alongside Clean Club "grime-fighters" Ella, Johnny and Harry. Once the curriculum is complete, students earn a Germbuster badge and become official members of The Clean Club.
